All about Behringer Pro Audio, Professional Audio Equipment, Professional Audio Mixer and more…
ng and you can feel a beat in your body – it’s either that you have a rare disease and you should get checked by a physician, or you should jumpstart your new and exciting life as a DJ.
Becoming a DJ is no joking matter. And no, having an iPod with tons of songs doesn’t qualify you as a DJ. It’s not about playing the music. It’s about recreating the music. And it’s also about needles, mixers and turntables.
So what is your first step as a DJ? Well, many people believe that buying the most expensive DJ equipment available will turn them into an overnight DJ sensation. But that’s the worst mistake you can make! Doesn’t matter if you’re into becoming a DJ or a golfer – don’t start by shelling out top dollars for something you might not like.
What you really want to do is to find a DJ mentor. So next time you hit the clubs, ask the DJ to show you the secrets of the craft. Do some scratching. Get the hang of it. See if you’re any good and only then get yourself some nice DJ packages.
And now it’s time to practice. A lot! Until your fingers bleed. Well, maybe not bleed bleed but you know what I mean…
Anyway, stay tuned for next week for a list of great starter DJ packages and professional level DJ gear that you might want to look at.
