All about Behringer Pro Audio, Professional Audio Equipment, Professional Audio Mixer and more…
Motown was a period of music that laid the ground for hip-hop. It began in Detroit in 1960 and over the next 10 years, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, and The Supremes all led the label to Top 10 hits. This period began at a time when audiences were segregated, and helped to fuel the Civil Rights movement of that decade, so that by the ’70s people of all races were singing together hand in hand.
Today, many artists are appreciating the sounds pioneered by these artists. Professional audio equipment is increasingly pumping music that has a tambourine and drum kit; R&B instrumentation; and call and response gospel-influenced singing. Artists like Mayer Hawthorne, Kings Go Forth, Eli (Paperboy) Reed and Ava Luna are reviving the style in a fresh new way.
As new genres emerge over the course of this decade, you can expect to hear a lot of professional audio equipment to incorporate genres and styles from the past fifty years, which was a golden age of sorts, and to reinvent classics to make a new, unique sound. If you are a DJ working on your Pioneer DJ pro audio, make sure to listen to plenty of these classic tunes to forge some invigorating life into your sound.
